Driver injured in early morning rollover

A woman was injured in a single vehicle rollover Wednesday morning south of Picton.
At 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 Prince Edward OPP officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle rollover on Cty Road 8, near Clarke Road, south of Picton.
Their investigation revealed a 53-year-old female from North Marysburgh was northbound on Cty Road 8, when she overtook another northbound vehicle and then lost control when she re-entered her lane. The vehicle slid off the roadway and into the east ditch then rolled over, trapping the driver inside.
Members of the fire department extricated the woman and she was transported to Kingston General Hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
