Illustrator Marc Keelan-Bishop, of Picton, recently collaborated with Toronto author Mireille Messier to launch their 4th French-language adventure for kids.
“Coup de théatre à Stratford” has kids exploring Stratford’s wings, both theatrical and avian.
After adventures in Ottawa, Sudbury and Toronto, brother and sister sleuths Viviane and Simon Tanguay take on Stratford in this 4th Vivi & Simon mystery. This time, author Mireille Messier has our duo saving Stratford Ontario’s Festival Theatre from a destructive ghost and one of Stratford’s winged residents.
In “Coup de théatre à Stratford” Vivi & Simon attempt to rescue a production of “The Merchant of Venice” from the legendary curse of Shylock. Is there really a ghost destroying the sets and costumes at night, or does a more earthly culprit have it in for the thespians of this town?
The Vivi & Simon series has proven popular with both francophones and francophiles, introducing thousands of children to the starring cities and towns.
“Une Twiga à Ottawa” explores our capital city through the eyes of a rogue giraffe. In “Déclic à Toronto,” a series of antique photos take us on a mysterious tour of Canada’s biggest city. Hockey and extra-terrestrials lead through the arenas and mines of Sudbury in “Coupe et soucoupe à Sudbury”.
