Give your advice on school board survey

Rob McGall

Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board seeks input from the public to help set priorities for the next few years.

Rob McGall, newly-appointed director of education, said the purpose of the survey is to collect public feedback in several key areas important to the district.
“Information gathered from the survey will be used to refine upcoming goals in the AiM – Achievement in Motion long range system plan. It also provides an opportunity for general comments and feedback.

“We aspire to be a system of choice and a positive service provider in our community,” said McGall. “We are interested in receiving information on how we are doing in the areas of service, communication, understanding of our purpose, as well as public awareness of key initiatives we are engaged in, such as our Growing with Character focus, and our long range plan for student success.”

The survey is available until Friday, Oct. 28 and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.  Visit: http://www.hpedsb.on.ca/survey
For anyone wanting to complete it on paper, hardcopies are  available at all schools and administrative offices, or, copies can be obtained by calling the Education Centre at 613.966.1170 or 1.800.267.4350.

A summary of results is to be released in December 2011 and will be used during the next planning cycle beginning in spring 2012.
