Hospice welcomes new Community Development Director

Melanie Dailey

Melanie Dailey will be joining Hospice Prince Edward in the newly-created role of Community Development Director, effective April 6, 2020.

Dailey will be joining Hospice following a 15-year career providing leadership and strategic consulting services to Scout Environmental for the retail and not-for-profit sectors.

“The key to Melanie’s success has been her ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholder groups, galvanize action, and build collaborative relationships that last,” said Peter Matthewman, Hospice Board of Directors President.

Reporting to the board, Dailey will be responsible for community and stakeholder relations, fundraising strategy and events, and will also provide some operational oversight.

“It is an honour to be given this opportunity to serve Hospice and my community,” said Dailey. “Hospice provides vital services in Prince Edward County and I am committed to ensuring that the organization thrives.”

“Melanie has demonstrated her affinity for Hospice as one of our dedicated volunteers for about three years now,” said Matthewman. “We are delighted that she will be contributing her skills and experience to our team full-time.”

Under normal circumstances the community would be invited to meet Melanie at Hospice. Until that is possible, visit the Hospice Prince Edward Facebook page,  or email melanied@hospicepe.com to introduce yourself and welcome Melanie to the team.
