Health Canada reports more than 21,000 Indigo-brand ceramic mugs, mug ornaments and houseware dishes and products have been recalled due to mould contamination.
More than 21,800 products sold across Canada were believed to have been kept in humid conditions and as a result, mould may be present under the glazed surface, the agency stated.
The mout could cause infections in consumers with compromised immune systems and may pose a risk of gastrointestinal symptoms.
The affected products were manufactured in China and sold between August and December 2022. They include ‘Beary Best Polar Bear’ ‘Careful or you Might End Up in My Novel’ and Fawn’ed of Your Deer’ mugs as well as many others, dishes, pitchers, plates.
