The County’s Jamie Stever is quickly gaining the attention of Country music fans across Canada. Recently back from Nashville finishing up new songs for a re-release of his album ~ Genuine ~, he had the pleasure of working with producer Brian White and recorded a few new songs at the world famous Legends Studio which have done work for artists like Jason Aldean, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Craig Morgan to name a few.
Jamie also wrote two of the new songs with hit writers Brian White (“Watching You” by Rodney Adkins) and Bruce Wallace (“Make Hay While The Sun Shines” Steven Lee Olsen as well as a hit for Doc Walker).
Some of the players on Jamie’s new songs include Adam Shoenfeld, who is the guitarist for Big And Rich and who also played on Jason Aldean’s records and Chad Cromwell who has toured with Crosby, Stills and Nash and Neil Young.
In the past few months, Jamie has been pairing up with OHL teams as well as the Wellington Dukes to raise money for local hospitals. He was able to help Five Counties Children’s Centre (Peterborough), Quinte Children’s Centre (Belleville) and Prince Edward Memorial Hospital Foundation (Picton).
“It was great to be able to use my music to raise money for such worthy causes” Stever says.
Stever’s new single can be heard on radio in mid-April and he will be in Panama City Florida shooting the video later that month.
If you don’t want to wait for radio play, he will be performing at the Regent Theatre in Picton on March 31st, beginning at 7:30 p.m. He will perform all the songs from the new album with his new band and welcomes special guest The Jim Matt Band as the opening act.
