The Legionettes ended their regular season tied in first place with a record of 10 wins, 4 losses and 8 ties which earned them a bye to the second round of play-offs against Stonemills. They tied all three games, forcing overtime and then winning in a shoot-out. The girls then moved on to play the Percy Bulldogs, defeating them two straight (3-1) and (2-0). Next they are headed to Oshawa on April 3 for the Regional Play-Off weekend where they will play for the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League Championship (GOLD).
The girls thank their Team Sponsor – Royal Canadian Legion Branch #78, Picton and Jersey Sponsors – Mark’s Heating and Cooling, The Woodcrafters, DMD Services, Town & Country Video, Pat Guernsey Insurance, A1 Excavating, Long Reach Towels, Cole Plumbing, Prinzen Ford, Mark’s Custom Collision, Trumpours Mill, Arbourview Construction, Team Remax Wellington, Power Concrete, Home Hardware Building Centre.
