Susan Law, past president of the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, received a Provincial Life Membership in the Hospital Auxiliary of Ontario. It was presented Nov. 6 at the HAAO convention in Toronto, by Elaine Meharg, left, president of the Hospital Auxiliaries of Ontario.
Fran Donaldson, president of the PECMH Auxiliary notes Law was also nominated in the leadership category in recognition of the many responsibilities she has undertaken since joining the County’s auxiliary and in Ottawa before moving to the County. Law continues to be active as a volunteer in the dialysis clinic and with the upcoming Festival of Trees.
This year’s Christmas wonderland Festival of Trees – Nov. 30, Dec. 1-2 – returns to the Isaiah Tubss Resort at West Lake. This year’s event (the fifth held by the auxiliary but the 20th in the County), there will be more than 130 trees all decorated and a part of the silent auction.
Many other events will be taking place as well, such as the Saturday Morning Bake Sale, raffles (bucket draw) on many prizes and special sales of Xmas items from the Auxiliary’s Second Time Around Shop. More by clicking here: http://www.countylive.ca/?p=30545
