Local Ukrainian donates to Red Cross

“We are Strong, We are Here, We are Ukrainian”

These are some of the words that Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelenskyy spoke in one of his speeches recently to his country and the world.

The situation is dire for the Ukrainian people and they are fighting to survive. You only have to watch the news reports out of the Ukraine to see children and their mothers walking very long distances in the cold to reach a border crossing or a train .

Obviously there is a need for humanitarian aid. There are many organizations accepting donations. I chose the Red Cross as our federal government will match donations
up to 10 million till the middle of March. If you wish to make a donation you may do so by calling 1 800 418 1111. They also have an online contact which they will give you when you call in.

I am Ukrainian and I thank you for considering to help with Humanitarian efforts for these very brave and resilient people who are fighting to survive and save their country.
