Many Happy Returns supports seniors as new centre’s campaign continues

Max Mee, of Many Happy Returns, presents $500 to Prince Edward Community Care for Seniors president Peter Landry and executive director Debbie MacDonald Moynes.

Max Mee, of Many Happy Returns, presented $500 in support of the new County Senior’s Centre in Picton. Prince Edward Community Care for Seniors president Peter Landry and executive director Debbie MacDonald Moynes were pleased to receive the donation.

“We are extremely grateful for this $500 donation and we appreciate Max and Many Happy Returns supporting this important campaign,” said Landry.

Max raised the funds through collecting returnable bottles and cans ensuring they were not ending up in the garbage or recycling and instead were supporting important community work.

Many Happy Returns has supported countless organizations over the years including the PECI lunch program, the Baxter Arts Centre Accessibility Ramp, Hospice Prince Edward, Marysburgh Mummers Drama Camp, Community Living, 99.3 County FM, The ROC, Greater Than Youth Collective, and Prince Edward Learning Centre, along with private donations that assisted local families.

An exceptional young man will pick up returnable bottles and cans at your address. He returns them for a refund and uses money to fund local charities. Contact 613-403-7563 to arrange a pick up.

Thanks to the generosity of local donors, volunteers, and partners, Community Care for Seniors has raised nearly $950,000 toward its $1.2 million goal to create the permanent County Seniors’ Centre, at 74 King Street in Picton.

The doors are now open – welcoming older adults every day for programs, conversation, learning, and friendship. This new, fully accessible space has already become a place of connection and belonging.

The centre is $300,000 short of its goal. Click here to make a donation, or call Community Care for Seniors at 613-476-7493 to make arrangements.
