OPP investigating suspicious fires

Firefighters attended suspicious fires early evening Monday night.

On Monday, April 4 early evening, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County Detachment were called to the area of Highway 62 near Wilson Road regarding two fires attended by County firefighters.

Two structures had been burned. Provincial Constable Aaron Miller reports the fires are believed to be suspicious. The investigation will continue.

Prince Edward OPP are asking anyone who may have information regarding this occurrence to report it by calling 1.888.310.1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or submit a tip online at www.crimestoppersquinte.ca where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
