Paid parking in Picton returns April 1

Paid parking will be reinstituted in Picton as of April 1.

Payment is required along streets in Picton’s downtown core and in the Market Lane parking lot. Payment is required Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm from April 1 to Nov. 30, excluding holidays.

Pay and Display parking stations are located approximately 20 metres apart. The machines accept coins, credit cards, non-PIN debit cards and the Passport Parking App.

A two-hour maximum for street parking is in effect. The time limit does not apply to parking spaces in Market Lane.

Limited free parking in Picton is available in municipal lots at 55 King Street and at 47 Mary St.

Two-hour parking limits in Wellington are in effect as of April 1. Parking remains free in Wellington and Bloomfield.

In addition to designated accessible parking spaces on streets and in municipal lots, the County allows free parking in Pay and Display parking spaces for vehicles displaying an accessible parking permit. The vehicles are still subject to any maximum length of stay restrictions for the spaces.

A vehicle displaying an Ontario veteran licence plate is also permitted to park without payment in a Pay and Display space. The vehicle is still subject to any maximum length of stay restrictions for the spaces.
