Panthers ready to pounce on girls hockey quarter finals

PECI Girls Hockey Panthers finished their regular season on two high notes – beating the Bayside Secondary School Red Devils 3-1 and the Trenton High School Tigers 4-0 in two home back-to-back games.
Abby Terpstra, Tynika Williams and Alex Staley had goals for the Panthers against the Red Devils. Sam Ward had two helpers while Abby Terpstra, Morgan Clark, Celina Fox, and Kendra Marion finished off the score sheet.
In the Tigers game, Taylor Snider played flawlessly and recorded the shut out. While Alex Staley stepped it up with a goal and two assists in the 4-0 win. Morgan Clark, Tynika Williams, and Sam Ward lit the lamp while Chloe Marshal, Kendra Marion, Celina Fox, Sarah Young, Abby Terpstra all had helpers.
Overall the team is heading into the playoffs with an impressive 7 wins, 2 losses record. The playoffs Quarterfinals of the Bay of Quinte league is Thursday, Feb. 18th at 3pm against Bayside Red Devils again in Picton.
Once through the quarter finals sorting, the Bay of Quinte Finals is slated for Feb. 24th in Trenton for the final four. Game times are 9am for the semifinals, bronze medal at noon and the gold and silver medals game is at 1:30pm.
