The Picton Pirates scored five goals in the third period to beat the Amherstview Jets on the road Sunday evening 7-4.
Dylan Mountenay had four points while Pat Millington had a goal and two helpers for the Pirates who looked flat in dropping a 5-2 affair in Port Hope Saturday.
“After a tough defeat, it was nice to see the guys bounce back and compete hard,” Pirates GM Jason Parks said.
Haydn Mcinroy stopped 39 shots in the picking up the win Sunday evening.
“Haydn looked a little nervous on the long shots and there were a coouple that beat him that I’m sure he would like to have back, but he made the key saves when he had to,” Parks added.
Also scoring for Picton Sunday were Ryan Vader, Mitch Burkitt, Evan Greer and Jesse Lloyd.
On Saturday night, Greer and Ryan Sizer tallied.
Picton’s next home action is Thursday evening in Wellington when they take on the Campbellford Rebels at 8:30 pm.
