Police caution ‘morphsuit’ callers

Three “young people” from Picton have been cautioned by police in relation to suspicious incidents earlier this week.
The three were identified by Prince Edward OPP for their involvement in incidents where they had approached residences at night while disguised in a “morphsuit”.
A morphsuit is a stretchy material that covers the entire body, including the wearer’s face.
The incidents took place in the late hours of July 12 and early hours of July 13.
Photos and posts on a County man’s Facebook noted a person in a morphsuit was pounding on the front door of a family’s house.
“He stepped back from the door after frightening all of us and was doing these weird head turns, clenching his fists and had a black baton,” the post said.
OPP thanked the public for their assistance in the case.
