Following Picton woman’s death, police seek more information on accident

Prince Edward OPP on Tuesday have sent out a request for information from the public related to an accident in December that resulted in the death of a Picton woman.
On Dec. 5, 2015 at approximately 2:50p.m., officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment responded to a call at Queen Street in Picton.
Leslie Chamberlain, 62, was operating a motorized scooter when she was struck by a pick-up truck. She was transported to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries and died in hospital on Jan. 9, 2016.
Prince Edward OPP are continuing the investigation. No charges have been laid to date, and they ask that people with information related to the incident contact the OPP at 613-476-2151 or 1-888-310-1122.
