Be careful what you wish for. Dalton has erred and needs a wakeup call but look at the alternative. Does the name Mike Harris ring a bell? Hudak is more right wing than that so if for one example you want health care cuts, have at it. He cannot in any way imaginable deliver on his promises without massive cuts to the social fabric. He needs to tell us up front how he pans to deliver.

Steve, while I don’t always agree with your opinion’s, I’m 100% with you on this rant of yours. I’m one of those city people you speak of, and I must admit that when I was living in The Big Smoke I too shared Dalton’s view of Ontario.

For the life of me I couldn’t get my head around the tedious bitching and griping of those rural buffoons. What did they have to complain about? What needs could they possibly have that were more important than the needs of those of us living in “The Centre of the Universe”? I understood why the world was unfolding as it should by doling out dollars to Toronto dwellers balanced off by neglect to country and village folk.

But after having lived in the County for 13 years now, finally I get it. I feel and identify with the abandonment of Queen’s Park, I am sickened by the McGuinty government’s intimidation and forcefulness and their belief they have the clout to run roughshod over rural communities at will.

Yet I fear that ‘dumping Dalton’ might not be the total remedy for gaining the respect of Queen’s Park, it could well be a step in the right direction. But will we be only changing the jester who will mock our way of life?
