School buses cancelled due to wintry weather

Wintry conditions this morning prompted school bus cancellations throughout the Tri-Board Transporation area. Major accidents are being reported on Highway 401.
Officials are warning motorists to be prepared for hazardous winter driving conditions as untreated surfaces may become icy and slippery.
A few hours of freezing rain are possible before temperatures rise above zero and a change to rain occurs. This afternoon the temperature is to be 3 degrees C. Thursday the high is to be 10 degrees C.
