Summer’s here and babysitters are available. Seventeen students have graduated from a St. John Babysitting Course hosted by The Hub Child and Family Centre (formally Prince Edward Child Care Services). The students, who are or will be 12-years-old this summer, learned about caring for young children through a variety of sources, including instruction from Terry Kewley, Prince Edward County firefighter and Lee Quann, resource consultant with Community Living Prince Edward. The Hub’s Susan Quaiff, deputy executive director, instructed the course and all students were successful graduates. If you know any of these students give them a call and have them come and do a volunteer training day with you and your little ones. If you would like to get in contact with one of these students you can also call the Hub at 476-8142 or email khpeccs@kos.net.
