After coming ever-so-close in Douro on Saturday, the U15 Heidelberg Materials Kings were not going to be denied a win on the weekend and posted their first victory of the Eastern Ontario Minor Hockey League Season on Sunday.

Playing in Peterborough County for the first time this season, the Douro Dukes managed to get up on the Kings 2-0 into the second stanza. But Bodin Reddick had other ideas on Saturday afternoon and his solo effort on the power play at 5:08 gave the Kings some life after two periods.

Helpers went to Tristan Ellsworth (2), Vader, Grant, Reddick, Elliott van der Bij, Trystan Macalister and Chase White.

The Islanders finally solved Parker Nyman in the second to get the score to 4-1 but the Kings cranked out a pair early in the third to win this one skating away.
