Two in hospital following fire in Rossmore

Two people were transported to the hospital following a residential structure fire on Ridley Street in Rossmore early Wednesday.
Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue responded at 3:39 a.m. There were no firefighter injuries.
The origin and cause of the fire is under investigation and there was no damage estimate at this time.
Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue reminds the public to ensure their residences are equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Residents are also encouraged to create a home escape plan.
