Prince Edward OPP and the Prince Edward Fire Department were dispatched to two serious motor vehicle collisions in the Rossmore area early this morning.
At 5:22 a.m. a 16-year-old female lost control of her vehicle while eastbound on County Road 3 as it approached the intersection of Ridley Street and County Road 28. Police report that just prior to the intersection, the vehicle crossed into westbound lanes and onto private property where it collided with two vehicles parked in a driveway. The occupants of the vehicle received non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is on-going.
About 10 minutes later, a southbound vehicle on Hwy 62 had just passed the intersection of County Road 3 when it left the roadway, travelled along the shoulder for a distance, then rolled onto its roof in the parking lot of the Rossmore Plaza.
Both occupants were extricated by fire fighters and transported to hospital with serious injuries. The investigation continues into this collision at this time.
The roads are now open.
