Update on Wellington watermain and sewer installation
Administrator | Feb 02, 2026 | Comments 0
While installing the infrastructure along the trail between Consecon Street and just east of Wharf Street, groundwater infiltrated the work area, reports Mark Kerr, the County’s Communications and Consultation Supervisor.
“The contractor is currently working to remove the water. Installation of the watermain and sanitary sewer will resume once site conditions allow,” he states. “The municipality has revised the project timeline due to the unforeseen construction delays. The project is still expected to be completed including all restoration by the end of June 2026.”
Visit the municipal website to learn more about the project.
