Water service repairs on Bloomfield Main Thursday

UPDATE: Work on water service repairs in Bloomfield is expected to continue until 10 pm Thursday, Jan. 20. 

The County’s water and wastewater department will be repairing water services on Bloomfield Main Street Thursday morning. Traffic may be reduced to one lane between Mallory Road and Corey Street.
Repairs are to begin Thursday, Jan. 20 at 8 a.m., with an expected completion time of 5 p.m.
Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and take alternate routes if possible.

These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents connected to municipal water between Mallory Road and civic address 158 Bloomfield Main Street may experience temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place.

If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
