Watermain repair Tuesday on Elizabeth Street
Administrator | Feb 02, 2026 | Comments 0
The County’s Water and Wastewater Department plans to be repairing the watermain on Elizabeth Street between Mary and Picton Main, Tuesday, Feb. 3.
Repairs are to begin at approximately 8 a.m., with an expected completion time of 6 p.m.
Elizabeth Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic. Further traffic disruptions may be required, including this section of the street being closed with local traffic only in place. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents in the construction area may experience pressure fluctuations and/or coloured water while construction is taking place.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
