WI helps students start off with full backpack

The Prince Edward District Women’s Institute presented $500 to support the Good Back Pack Program. At the presentation in the Bloomfield Town Hall, from left, are: Krista Lyons, Ontario Works; Linda Mitchell, Secretary, PEDWI; Kim DeBruin, District Director, PEDWI; Lindsay Rapino, Ontario Works; Lorraine Fullum-Bouchard, Treasurer, PEDWI and Mary Ellen Closson, President, PEDWI. The Good Back Pack program donates back packs to approximately120 students in Prince Edward County to start their new school year. Each back pack contains supplies that are age and gender appropriate for the students receiving them.
