Fibre Arts Show an autumn treat

Weaver Judy McClure hosted the Annual Fibre Art Show at her Bloomfield Studio held under the auspices of the County Handspinners.

Hundreds of woven, knitted and felted items were on display at this year's Fibre Arts Show and Sale, held over two days.

Under a warm autumn sun, visitors came from as far away as Huntsville, Peterborough, Campbellford and Tweed to see this year’s Fibre Arts Show & Sale held at the Bloomfield Studio of Judith McClure.
Sponsored by the County Handspinners, the annual event is designed to show demonstrations of spinning and weaving and to offer woven, knitted, felted and hooked items produced by its members.

Shirley Guy demonstrates a deft hand at producing quality natural yarn for her woven and knitted work.

Providing some excellent on-site spinning with various kinds of natural fibres and using different spinning wheel deigns, were Shirley Guy, Susan Finan, Diane Torney,  Lise Noakes,  Muriel Brown, Donna Watson and Ann Marie MacKay.

Ann-Marie MacKay demonstrates her modern lightweight wheel constructed of plastic pipe which can turn out excellent yarn.
