Jurors for the annual Art in the County show were pleased with the extensive variety of disciplines and media represented in this 17th annual exhibition which opened Friday at 10 a.m. at the Picton Town Hall (corner of Ross and King streets).
“It was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience for us,” they noted in their statement. “Your County has a tremendously talented community of artists and fine crafts people. Although we were unable to include works from all the artists who submitted, we commend all of you for your obvious commitment to your creative practices.”
The award winners and jurors’ comments were announced at the opening reception of Art in the County Thursday night.  The Peoples’ Choice award will be announced Sunday, July 4th.
